Nigerian artiste, Logos Olori during an interview stated that artists like Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid use songwriters. The artiste said the artists are too busy to write their songs all the time, hence they need songwriters to work with them. Logos Olori also advised artists not to be ashamed of using songwriters.
However, it appears not everyone took his comment lightly as Burna Boy posted a tweet stating that he doesn’t use songwriters. He said, “Any name you see credited on my songs are only producers of the songs or featured artists, not writers.
But for some reason, the Western world considers producers as writers of the instrumentals and they just throw their names on there as writers. Nobody fit write for Odogwu”. Fans have deduced that this tweet is targeted at Logos Olori’s statement with many calling out the artiste for mentioning Burna Boy and Wizkid in the conversation. Others have debunked Burna Boy’s tweet claiming that the artiste uses songwriters.
