D’Prince Calls for Reflection on Cyberbullying and Online Narratives

D’Prince has spoken out against cyberbullying and toxic online culture within the entertainment industry.

In a statement shared online, the music executive expressed concern over what he described as the growing monetisation of controversy, targeted attacks, and negative narratives across certain digital platforms.

According to D’Prince:

β€œCyber bullying has increasingly become a dangerous business model in Nigeria, to the extent that some podcasts and media platforms are now created primarily to monetise paid narratives, controversy, and targeted online attacks.”

His comments have sparked conversations online about the impact of social media toxicity, online harassment, and the role of digital media platforms in shaping public perception around artists, celebrities, and public figures.

The statement also highlights broader concerns surrounding clout-driven content creation, where controversy and conflict are sometimes amplified for engagement, traffic, and financial gain.
