
The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force is currently escalating its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the passing of the renowned singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, famously known as Mohbad. The inquiry was initiated after Mohbadβs family and those involved in the ongoing investigation regarding the unauthorized embalming of the deceasedβs body were summoned.
Boluwatife Adeyemo, also known as Darosha, who served as Mohbadβs Personal Assistant, was previously questioned at the Zone 2 Police Headquarters alongside the deceasedβs parents, Joseph and Abosede. Following Daroshaβs interrogation, law enforcement officials have called for the appearance of all individuals mentioned in his statement for further questioning.
Monisola Odumosu, who heads the familyβs legal team, confirmed that the subsequent round of questioning took place on Tuesday at the Zone 2 Police Headquarters in Lagos State. Odumosu also mentioned that the police are actively working to uncover the identity of the βillegal mortician.β
He added:
βThe police will reveal to the public soon, who illegally embalmed the body of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.
βThe police stated they would work on their report and continue investigations which will be directed to the Legal Department of the force for a recommendation.
βThe meeting was held at Zone 2 and present at the meeting were Mr. Joseph Aloba (Mohbadβs father), Boluwatife Adeyemi (aka Darosha), Adura Aloba (Mohbadβs younger brother), Mrs. Abosede Olumuyi (Mohbadβs mother) and Cynthia Omowunmi Aloba (Mohbadβs wife). Others include Iya Lolade and Samuel (Mr. Joseph Alobaβs witnesses) and lawyers to the partiesβ
The familyβs legal representatives had formally lodged a petition with the police, as directed by their clients, asserting that Boluwatife Adeyemo, the personal assistant to the late Mohbad, had engaged in the unlawful embalming of the singerβs body.
