King of Afrobeats, Davido has finally opened up about his contribution to the #End Sars movement.
In an exclusive interview with Trevor Noah, Davido opened up about his contribution to the movement. Trevor asked him how he felt about the biggest movement and the song he wrote for his haters, Fem becoming the anthem for the movement.
Davido clarified that he never wrote the song for the protest, but unfortunately, the government felt he did. He revealed that the song as well as his support t got in a lot of trouble
According to Davido, he had to leave Nigeria because of the threats he was receiving. Davido stated that he doesn’t regret writing the song nor supporting the movement. He confessed that he felt fulfilled with how people were speaking out about the bad governance and the ugly state of Nigeria.
Davido told Trevor that the government might not have resolved the issues that led to the protest, but he is happy with the fact that they know that Nigerians won’t sit back and watch them ruin their country.
