Dave Announces Third Studio Album The Boy Who Played The Harp

UK rap heavyweight Dave has officially revealed details of his highly anticipated third studio album. Titled The Boy Who Played The Harp, the project is set to drop on Friday, October 24, 2025 β€” his first full-length release in four years.

The title draws inspiration from the biblical story of David, who played the harp to calm King Saul, a fitting metaphor for the Streatham-born rapper whose music has long balanced raw lyricism with reflection and storytelling.

Dave β€” born David Orobosa Omoregie β€” is no stranger to pushing boundaries. His Mercury Prize-winning debut Psychodrama (2019) and his sophomore effort We’re All Alone In This Together (2021) not only topped charts but also cemented his reputation as one of the sharpest voices in global rap. With The Boy Who Played The Harp, fans are already bracing for another deeply personal yet socially charged body of work.

The rollout sparked speculation earlier this week when Dave wiped his socials clean, replacing everything with a mysterious sign-up link. On October 1, he confirmed the album with a bold tagline that set the internet buzzing.

Since his last album, Dave has continued to dominate the scene. His record-breaking collab with Central Cee, Sprinter (2023), became the longest-running No.1 UK rap single of all time. Now, with exclusive vinyl and cassette editions already up for pre-order, the hype around his third album is at fever pitch.

With two chart-topping albums already behind him and a career built on raising the bar, The Boy Who Played The Harp is shaping up to be one of the biggest music releases of 2025. Come October 24, all eyes will be on Dave to deliver yet another classic.
