The Lagos State Police has reacted to claims that Nigerian Grammie nominee, Burna Boy is in their custody.
Burna Boy was reportedly said to have been arrested after his neighbors lamented over the noise coming from his house. It was even stated that he is yet to pay up the sum 100 million naira for the land he built his land on. Due to this, the singer and his dad were said to have been arrested.
According to NetNG, the Lagos State Police PRO, DSP Bala Elkana confirms that Burna Boy was never arrested. He debunked the news and clearly stated that Burna Boy had not been arrested yesterday as the reports claim. He said, “They just recycled an old story. There was something that happened a very long time ago and it was resolved then. It`s not a recent event”¦ But we don`t have him in our custody. He wasn`t arrested yesterday, we don`t even have complaints against him from yesterday.”
