Apple Music has announced Afrofusion singer-songwriter, Pawzz (real name David Tokuma Dekor) as the latest featured artist in its Up Next artist development program in Nigeria. As the latest addition to Apple Music`s growing stable of Up Next Artists from Nigeria, Pawzz is set to make a positive impact on the youth through his music, which blends Afrobeats, Afropop, Alté, R&B and Amapiano.
Born and raised in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria, Pawzz has been working diligently to realise his artist potential and leverage his individuality. He has been collaborating with distribution and label services company Freeme Music to create his debut EP ‘Prezz Play’, which was released in 2023 and is available to stream on Apple Music. The EP is driven by the uptempo Afrobeats single, ‘Koma’, and features five more original tracks which showcase his unique sound steeped in energy and evergreen melodies.
Pawzz joins Novemba, Young Jonn, T.I Blaze, Ajebo Hustlers and SGaWD as Apple Music`s growing stable of Up Next Artists from Nigeria. With Pawzz now part of the program, he is eager to further promote his music and give back to the youth by teaching them to embrace their authentic selves.
