Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola professionally known as Portable has recently hit the studio to record a song about the outcome of the 2023 presidential election. The lyrics of the song by Portable centered on the president-elect Tinubu running under the All Progressives Congress and the co-contender Peter Obi, presidential candidate of Labour Party.
The Zazuu star released a snippet of the track on Instagram and described Peter Obi as a ”˜boy`. While Tinubu`s nickname, Jagaban was mentioned and described as a ”˜father`. After the snippet was released, a video of Portable singing in the studio surfaced on the internet and caused a negative reaction from fans. Although Tinubu`s supporters supported the singer`s move by calling it ”˜a brave move`, many disagreed with the song, terming it as a ”˜political gimmick`.
He shared the video on his Instagram page, and captioned; “Obi is a boy ? Jagaban Na Person Father Ashiwaju Na Boss ?????? Eyin Omo YORUBA it`s another 30years again that we always denied our own Father brother and son I hope we break the course this year Nibo Wontobe Ashiwaju leader of the leaders ??Wahala Wahala Wahala ???”
