Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has sparked reactions online after he fired shots at artists; Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy in his new single titled, “Brag”. Nigerians awoke to the contentious rap music released in the wee hours of Friday, May 10. Sarkodie boasted in line with the song’s theme, of selling out the O2 in 2016, well ahead of Nigerian performers Davido and Wizkid. He said that he created the pattern for them.
Sarkodie further placed the Grammy Award-winning Nigerian musician Burna Boy and Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif in the same category as him.
A line from his song reads:
“Wizkid came, I was already doing it, Davido started, I was improving it, then Odogwu came through Black Sherif & Asake”
