South African jazz composer, arranger and saxophonist Linda Sikhakhane signed a deal with Universal Music Group (UMG) at the label’s headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa, on 22 February.
Following the partnership, Sikhakhane, who is known for his innovative fusion of traditional South African rhythms and contemporary jazz elements, is poised to reach new heights in his musical career.

Sikhakhane’s love for music began at an early age but flourished at the Siyakhula Music Centre under the tutelage of Brian Thusi.
After earning a diploma in jazz from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, he moved to Johannesburg to advance his career as a saxophonist, where he subsequently won the SAMRO Overseas Scholarship Competition in 2016.
