Speed Darlington is a US-based Nigerian singer who has recently made the bold claim that it was he who inspired rapper Naira Marley to pursue a career in the music industry. His statement has sparked a lot of debate around the celebrity, who is better known for his eccentric and comedic character rather than his musical prowess.
To further back up his claims, Speed Darlington also has a close connection to the success of βΛAm I A Yahoo Boy`, Naira Marley`s major break in the music industry. He claims that he was the one who originally wrote the infamous single, but the song was stolen from him and repackaged by Naira Marley to become the global hit it is today.
Speed Darlington also mentioned that he was the original brain behind Zanku, the popular dance and style of music which was popularised in 2019. This added fuel to the fire, and now many fans are questioning if Naira Marley truly is the innovator of the genre.
