Afrobeats musician Anthony Victor, also known as Victony, has revealed that his debut album was inspired by seasoned artist Olamide. This was said by him in a recent interview.Β The YBNL bossΒ urged the βSowetoβ crooner to release a full-length project, but the singer stated that he thought he wasnβt ready to release an album yet and instead wanted to release an Extended Play, or EP.
According to Victony, who recently spoke with Channels TV, he gave a shout outΒ to Olamide on the cover of his debut album βStubbornβ because the artist served as inspiration for the album.
He said, βShout out to Olamide again. Olamide is basically theΒ reasonΒ why I have an album. He encouraged me to go for it. I wanted to put out a smaller body of work like an EP because I didnβt think I was ready for an album but after meeting Olamide and the words of encouragement he gave to me..
βSomeone at that level making out time for people in my generation to make sure that we are making the right moves and doing what is necessary for our careers, I had to give him a shout out to let people know he was part of everything that has to do with my album.
