There has been a range of reactions following Davido‘s decision to refrain from throwing cash around and instead depositing stacks of money into a designated money box at an event. This move comes amid increased efforts by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to crack down on those misusing Nigeria’s national currency.
The EFCC has recently intensified measures to combat the abuse of legal tender, resulting in severe penalties for offenders, including notable Nigerian celebrities. A recent video captured Davido deliberately avoiding the traditional cash-spraying practice, opting instead to carefully place stacks of dollars into a specially designated money box.
