Wizkid and Tems‘ “Essence” is one of the songs on RollingStone’s top 500 songs of all time list. The song, which was released in 2020, just landed at number 414 on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Rolling Stone’s list, revamped with nearly 4000 entries, celebrates the most iconic tracks ever. In 2021, Rolling Stone named it the best song of the year, and now it has found a place among some of the best songs ever released.
Other achievements “Essence” has clinched include winning the Top R&B/Hip-Hop & Rap Song of the Year at the 2023 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards. The song was also the first African record to receive the iHeartRadio Titanium Award.
