Nigerian Afro-fusion artist Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake, continues to impress with his latest release. His new album, Lungu Boy, dropped at midnight on Friday, August 9, 2024, and has quickly become a trending topic on Nigerian social media. Among the standout tracks is a collaboration with Asake’s mentor, Wizkid, who for the first time openly addresses the loss of his mother.
Following his mother’s passing, Wizkid had previously released a project without mentioning her, which drew some criticism from fans who had hoped he would express his grief through his music. Now, in his collaboration with Asake titled “MMS,” Wizkid seems ready to openly confront and share his feelings about his mother’s death.
