Gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori is facing criticism after a video emerged of her integrating the popular “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo” melody into her worship performance at a Lagos church. The footage, taken during last Friday’s service, has sparked widespread controversy and backlash on social media.
Many have voiced their disapproval of Yinka Alaseyori’s choice to incorporate the ‘Gwo Gwo Gwo’ melody into her church performance. Among the critics is well-known writer Solomon Buchi, who has condemned the move as a major deviation from traditional gospel worship practices.

“Very annoying…..the world are supposed to be the one copying the church not other way round.”

“Romans 12:2 advises, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will.” This verse encourages believers to avoid adopting worldly practices that might compromise the sanctity and reverence due to God.”
