Olaniran Samuel (born December 5, 1994) is a Nigerian singer and songwriter and record producer who is among the exclusive list of artists considered to be the future of Afrobeats. He began recording music at the age of 16. His unique tune and soft textured voice have a feel of soul and fuji combined with his love for house music he named his style of music the Fujihouse genre. He is known professionally as Sam Kingpin. Sam Kingpin is one of the fastest-rising star.

Olaniran Samuel Olawale was born on 5, December 1994, in Idimu,A limosho, Lagos. He grew up in a Christian household with four siblings. Sam Kingpin attended Green Pastures High School, Lagos. He listened to King Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey, and Bob Marley. Sam Kingpin used to be a fine artist, he drew for fun until one day he met a DJ in his community and he told the Dj he loved writing songs and would like to sell them, this led to him meeting KBass who saw in him a bright and talented young boy. While visiting Kbass Studios frequently, he fell in love with music production and later went for an apprenticeship under another Producer (Lahlah) here he had encounters with superstars like Danny Young, Side One, Oritshe-Femi, Terry Apala, Bigiano and many more. Sam Kingpin attended Lagos state Polytechnic now known as Lagos University of Technology where he bagged a Higher Diploma in Building Technology
