Diddy’s children are reportedly in shock following his recent arrest and indictment, after having a brief phone conversation with him from jail.
Diddy, 54, is currently incarcerated after being arrested on September 16 and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. Despite pleading not guilty, he has been denied bail twice. According to a source close to the situation, Diddy has been able to speak briefly with family members, including Diddy’s children, via phone. The source shared, “He is very concerned about his kids and their well-being. He has three minor children, two of whom now have no living parent available with him incarcerated. Four of Diddy’s children have neither parent available with him incarcerated.”
Diddy shares Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila with model and actress Kim Porter, who passed away in 2018 at the age of 47. Quincy, another of Diddy’s children, was Porter’s son with Al B. Sure!, but Combs later adopted him. Justin is Diddy’s son with stylist Misa Hylton, while Chance is Sarah Chapman’s daughter. The youngest, Love, was born to Dana Tran in October 2022.
A second insider close to the family revealed that Diddy’s children are “in a state of crisis and shock” after learning of their father’s arrest. “It’s heartbreaking to see the children in the state they’re in,” the source said. “This is their father. But to them, he’s not Diddy—he’s Dad. He has always been a loving, devoted father.”
Diddy, one of the most influential figures in the music industry, is accused of coercing women into long, orchestrated sex performances known as “freak offs,” some of which allegedly lasted for several days. Prosecutors claim that the rapper used drugs like cocaine, ketamine, and oxycodone, along with his influence, to intimidate and coerce women into participating in these “freak offs,” which were sometimes captured on camera without the victims’ knowledge. When authorities raided his Los Angeles and Miami homes in March, they reportedly discovered more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil among the “freak-off supplies.”
Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, proposed a $50 million bail package that was ultimately rejected by a judge. Agnifilo suggested a $50,000 bond for Diddy, adding that the star is currently undergoing “treatment and therapy for things that most respectfully he needs treatment and therapy for.” The attorney did not specify what Diddy is receiving treatment for, citing confidentiality.
Agnifilo stated outside the court on September 17, “He’s going to fight this with all of his energy and all of his might and the full confidence of his lawyers, and I expect a long battle with a good result for Mr. Combs.” A hearing for Diddy is scheduled for October 9 at 2 p.m.
