The legal representatives of the late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known as Mohbad, have voiced concerns about the public release of sensitive details regarding his death. Taiwo Odumosu, a prominent member of the legal team, emphasized that such information should be directed to the police rather than shared publicly. He urged anyone with relevant information to come forward to aid the investigation. The statement from the legal team of Mohbad’s family highlighted that information intended for the police is being publicly disclosed, which could hinder the investigation.
They encouraged individuals with useful details to contact the legal team or the police to ensure proper handling and protection of witnesses. Odumosu also noted that the coroner’s inquest had issued summons for witnesses, stressing the family’s need for assistance in uncovering the facts surrounding Mohbad’s death. He reiterated that Joseph Aloba’s primary focus is on uncovering the truth behind his son’s tragic passing, rather than pursuing personal relationships.
Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, with the circumstances of his death generating significant social media controversy.
