The remains of celebrated Nigerian singer Onyeka Onwenu, famously known as the Elegant Stallion, have been moved from Reddington Hospital in Lagos following her recent passing. Onwenu, renowned for her powerful voice and advocacy, reportedly died on the night of July 30. Her death came after she collapsed at Mrs. Stella Okoli’s 80th birthday celebration, where she had performed earlier. Despite being rushed to the hospital by emergency medical teams, efforts to save her were unsuccessful.
Viral footage from NTA, shared on social media, shows a black ambulance departing from the hospital, with onlookers suggesting that it was carrying Onwenu’s remains.
