The Prince of Afrobeats, Rema has added an impressive achievement to his portfolio.

His 2022 song, ‘CALM DOWN‘ has sold over 500,000 copies in the US. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), a song or record is eligible for a gold certification it has sold over 500,000 units in the United state.

REMA’s Gold certification has earned him the title of the youngest and fastest afrobeats artist to be certified in both BRIT and RIAA. He has broken the record held by Davido with IF for being fastest Afrobeats song to be certified Gold in the US.

Rema also destroyed the record held by Wizkid for ESSENCE being the fastest Afrobeats song to be certified Gold and Platinum in the US.
