This success is well-deserved for Rema and fans have been celebrating with great pride as the single also peaked at No. 6 on the U.K. Singles chart and No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 when it was released in February of 2022. Furthermore, it went on to become one of the best-selling Afrobeats songs of 2021.
The success of “Calm Down” goes even further with the single now having surpassed over a billion streams across all platforms. Rema also smashed a YouTube record when the single`s music video became the most-watched Nigerian music video on the site, surpassing the previous record held by CKay`s “Love Nwantiti”.
