Chinedu Okoli was born on the 23rd of November 1983. Known by his stage name Flavour N’abania, the Nigerian recording artist, dancer, songwriter, and performer though born in Enugu, is an indigene of Umunze in Anambra State. Flavor who is well known for his ability to sing fluently in Igbo language and English, started his musical career early.
At age 13, he was a drummer for his church choir through which he got introduced to a musical company aimed at training young musicians on the basics of music and nurturing them all the way to a professional level. He got a scholarship to study music and by 1999, he was a professional drummer, key boardist as well as back up vocalist for musicians at SoundCity.
Popularly known across Africa for his massive club banger “Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix)”, Flavour who is currently signed to 2nite Entertainment Music Label started his journey as an artiste when he released his self titled debut album “N’abania” in 2005 through the Obiano music group. Though this album was mostly popular in the east, he followed up with a second album in 2010 titled “Uplifted.” Containing tracks like Oyi remix ft Tiwa Savage and “Adamma”, the album’s success shot him to stardom. His 3rd album, “Blessed” was released on 18 October 2012 through 2nite Entertainment and iROCKING LTD and has so far gotten good reviews.
The kwarikwa crooner has won various awards including MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA), Nigeria Music Video Awards (NMVA), Channel O Music Video Awards and The Headies among others in various categories.
